What have you been doing since you left Archer Academy?

After I left Archer Academy in 2021, I studied a diploma in Applied Sciences and Design and Technology at The Compton School Sixth form. Right after Sixth form, I went on to study at Swansea University in Wales, studying Chemistry and have completed my first year.

How did you get into what you are doing now?

I have always had a passion for the sciences, and learning and seeing all types of reactions and processes that happen in everyday life. Always getting to experience experiments in the labs and learning about the principles of science has got me to where I am at now.

How did Archer help to shape your post-school choices?

Archer Academy provided an atmosphere where I could explore my passions and interests along with my peers who may share similar interests and ideas. There were times when I was stuck in different concepts and problems, but thanks to the support I received from my teachers, it helped me push on and strive to do the very best that I could throughout my studies.

What advice would you give a current Archer student about your chosen pathway?

My advice would be to always strive for your best and go for what you are passionate and interested in, from the range of subjects and choices you have. Also, try to make the most out of your life at Archer and seize every opportunity you can get!

Some friends and I studied Triple Science at GCSE and it was quite a highlight for me, as it brought in many cool events and opportunities to experience! For example science fairs and science week. After Archer, all of my friends are around the country studying their personal interests and passions!

A favourite memory of life at Archer?

Life at Archer provided lots of memories that I could barely count! But if I had to choose, it would definitely be being able to participle in the Dance and Drama Showcases back in Year 7 and 8. Being able to perform with so many people alongside me and with an audience (with a hint of stage fright!) was a blast! Definitely a core memory for me!
