Extra-curricular activities

We offer a range of extra opportunities outside the curriculum, which take place before, during and after the school day.

For sport enthusiasts, we have a range of clubs and teams, including football, netball, rugby, athletics, basketball and table tennis.

Fans of the creative and performing arts can take part in drama, dance and music activities including a string orchestra and choir.

Our scholars clubs are open to all students, offering stretch and challenge in specific subjects, including History, Science and English.

Students can also sign up for paid-for music tuition.

Bright Ideas lectures

At least once every half term, we invite a guest speaker to deliver a Bright Ideas lecture to our students, inspiring them to think about the world outside the school gates and the part they could play in it. Previous lectures have focused on topics as diverse as Why become a dentist? and How to design and make a computer game, as well as Why is it so important to understand faith in our diverse society? and a first-hand account of the Kindertransport mission.

Homework club

We also offer a drop-in homework club after school each day, which provides a peaceful environment for independent study. Teachers are on hand to give extra guidance and students have access to the library and computers to support their work.
