What have you been doing since you left Archer Academy?

I have been going to London Contemporary Dance School in Central London, I’m currently in year 2 of a 3 year programme of the BA Hons Contemporary Degree. I have had some amazing opportunities including moving to California for half a year to go to CalArts and to be able to work on stages in LA. I have also had the opportunity to dance in a range of different styles including Contemporary, ballet, street styles, Bharatanatyam and so on.

How did you get into what you are doing now?

I continued dancing, I did GCSE dance and A level Dance and decided to take the leap and do a degree in dance. I’ve always loved to dance and started when I was 3.

How did Archer help to shape your post-school choices?

In all honesty I’ve always loved dance but I did take a break from dance and when I moved to Archer the teachers and the dance classes are what ignited my love of dance again. I don’t know whether I would be dancing if it wasn’t for Archer.

What advice would you give a current Archer student about your chosen pathway?

My advice would be to always do what you love. At the very least give it a go, because the most important thing is life to be happy and enjoy what your doing and you may not get to exactly what you want to be but it will lead you to something you’ll enjoy doing. Never feel that you can question “what if” .

A favourite memory of life at Archer?

I have too many! But I loved when we created the competition piece and when we got round to the finals and came third. I said to Miss Hacking “I think I like the bronze medal more, the colour is nice” and she just looked at me like I was crazy! I also loved creating Fame and I think back to all the Ms Randall moments. Thinking to back then always makes me smile.
