“Equality of opportunity is at the heart of the academy. Governors and leaders are resolute that the academy will serve its immediate, highly diverse, community well. As a result, students, parents and staff are unwavering in the belief that the academy looks after all its students with equal commitment. They are also clear in their belief that the academy promotes genuine tolerance and equality of opportunity for all.” Ofsted, June 2015

SMSC at the Archer Academy
Developing and promoting social, moral, spiritual, cultural education

At the Archer Academy we recognise that the personal development of our students, spiritually, morally, socially and culturally plays a significant part in their ability to learn confidently, grow in resilience, expand their curiosity and realise their potential.

We therefore aim to provide an education that provides every student with opportunities to explore and develop their own values and beliefs, spiritual awareness, high standards of personal behaviour, a positive caring attitude towards other people, an understanding of their social and cultural traditions and an appreciation of the diversity and richness of other cultures.
