The Archer Academy is located at two sites in East Finchley; a lower school, situated at Stanley Road, and an upper school, which will be situated at Beaumont Close when the school is at full capacity.
Together, these two locations form an urban campus school, from which we can deliver an ambitious 21st century education for our 21st century students. It offers the facilities, budget, staffing levels and breadth of curriculum of a large establishment, but with the everyday feeling of a smaller, more nurturing environment.
Each campus is equipped with the teaching facilities that its students require for their day to day lessons – classrooms, labs, workshops, kitchen and dining areas and so on. So travel between the two campuses will be kept to a minimum; the main exception being that students based at Beaumont Close will travel to Stanley Road for PE lessons, something which is not unusual in London schools where sports facilities are separate from the main site.
As Lucy Harrison says: “Our urban campus school offers a wonderful opportunity for our students. It gives each age group their own space in which to grow, learn and develop, whilst at the same time offering access to outstanding, purpose built, large-scale school facilities; quite simply, the best of both worlds.”
