Opportunities to visit us

We know that getting a feel for a school is an important part of the application process. We offer a range of opportunities for parents and students to visit us in the run up to the October admissions deadline. These include an open evening, taster lessons for Year 6 students, small group tours and informal coffee mornings.

Open evening, Thursday 5th October

Our open evening for students and parents will take place on Thursday 5th October between 6pm and 9pm. Students will be available to take you on a tour of the school, giving you the chance to explore the classrooms and take part in some activities, as well as meeting our teachers and governors.

Headteacher Lucy Harrison will give talks at the Open Evening at: 6.15pm, 7.00pm, 7.45pm & 8.30pm. We are expecting high levels of interest in this event and we are asking visitors to pre-book tickets to hear one of these talks. You can do so via our events booking page: http://tinyurl.com/archerevents

Please note, if we have a large number of attendees we will have two queues on the night; one for families who have booked tickets for a talk and the other for non-ticket holders. If you haven’t booked a ticket, you will still be welcome to come to the open evening, but you may have a longer wait to get in.

Taster Lessons

We are offering Year 6 students the chance to come to the Archer Academy and try out some taster lessons for themselves on either Monday 9th October or Monday 16th October from 4.30 – 6pm at our Lower School campus. Please book tickets for either date here: http://tinyurl.com/archerevents

Small group tours (Year 6 only)

We are also holding a series of small group tours for Year 6 students and their parents. These will take place at 9.15am on Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th October. Places will need to be booked in advance by phone as numbers will be limited to give everyone the chance to ask questions; please call Filiz Wilson on 020 8365 4110 to book (booking opens Monday 11th September).

Informal coffee mornings (Year 6 parents only)

In addition to these more formal events, we would also like to invite Year 6 parents (not students) to attend one of our coffee mornings. These drop-in sessions will take place between 9.15am and 10.15am on Friday 13th October and Wednesday 18th October at our Upper School campus to enable parents to have a look at our GCSE site. Please book tickets for either coffee morning here: http://tinyurl.com/archerevents

Consideration for our neighbours

Our relationships with members of our local community are very important to us. We would therefore ask anyone attending any events at the Archer Academy to consider our neighbours, and either come by public transport or park some distance away from the school and walk. Please note that there is no parking available on either site.

Thank you for your support; we look forward to seeing you at one or more of our events.
